Hundreds of potential buyers have registered their interest in a new seniors living project north of Perth.

The Brightwater Care Group launched its Odyssey Residences at Beaumaris Beach at the end of March.

“We’ve had more than 550 registrations of interest lodged via the website since the development was first advertised in August last year, and the feedback we’ve had on the floor plans, interior design and the communal amenities for residents and their guests has been very, very positive,” said Mike Graebner from Seniors Own Real Estate.

The 58-residence project will be built at 32 Fernando Parkway, Iluka, and is the centrepiece of a proposed multi-generational lifestyle precinct and town centre with shops and cafes, and accommodation for a variety of different life stages.

Brightwater Care Group chief executive Jennifer Lawrence described it as a “game-changer”.

“We’ve looked closely at how the over-55s actually want to transition into retirement and have designed homes that reflect their priorities, such as freeing up time for travel and hobbies, and keeping people connected to their neighbours, the community and nature,” she said.

Two-bedroom, two-|bedroom plus study, and three-bedroom lock-and leave-residences with 16 designs to choose from will be available, with prices starting from $497,000.

The homes range in size from 84sq m to 125sq m and will include a courtyard, terrace or balcony, plus a lockable storage unit in the basement of the three-level building.

Each apartment will be finished to a high specification with engineered stone benchtops, dishwasher, clothes dryer, reverse-cycle air-conditioning and contemporary window treatments.

Premium and luxury packages are also available, including timber flooring, feature lighting and tiling, and an upgrade to Miele appliances.

Early buyers also get the chance to choose from a select range of variations to personalise their new home.

All the homes have been certified with the Gold Liveable Housing Design, giving buyers confidence that their new home will be easy to access, navigate and live in, and cost-effective to adapt should circumstances change.

Residents will also be able to use a range of social and leisure amenities, including a heated pool, gym, landscaped gardens and a communal garden deck with raised planter beds.

The Front Room, attached to the front porch alfresco space, will be a multi-purpose communal living room for residents to socialise in.

There will also be an all-weather communal function room called The Picnic Rug, which will be an idea for larger socialising events.
