With CoreLogic adding weight to Ben’s early ‘gut feel’ for a resilient property market despite the COVID-19 pandemic, their October data shows house prices increased by 0.4%, having decreased 1.7% for the period March to October 2020. CoreLogic attributes the relative stability of property values to Australia’s low interest rates, mortgage deferrals and “the purposeful slowdown of ‘social consumption’.”
First up tonight, we take a look at technology in the solar energy space with Paul Scerri joining from REC Group. Originating in Norway and with production facilities in Singapore, the company was first to mass produce a panel that combines n-type monocrystalline and thin-film technologies, giving consumers affordable access to a more efficient and powerful product all while reducing their carbon footprint.
We then turn to transparency and efficiency in the market with David Stewart, Founder of Market Buy joining our dynamic duo. Looking for a vehicle that would allow buyers to make an offer on a property from anywhere, Dave found himself considering eBay before realising he’d have to create a platform from scratch, built around his requirements.
Join Oriel Morrison, Ben Gaze and special guests for the full episode above.
